Un:BIRTHDAY SONG – Review & Thoughts

A fandisc of the original series titled Re:Birthday Song. It’s an otome game from honeybee(The Starry Sky series, Dynamic Chord, etc), and I wasn’t really expecting something “ground-breaking” even though it’s a plot-heavy game(or at least that’s how they tried to present themselves…) based on my pure judgment of the original game which I have lots of mixed feelings in, but the final “true” route in particular exceeded my expectation and by all means was this better than the original series. Let’s get into it, then.

Memory’s Dogma – Impression So Far After Finishing CODE:01

897.pngA rather short first installment of a SCI-FI visual novel that starts off as exceptionally intriguing but later turns into some disappointing fantasy wrecks. Or maybe you can say that I’m just expecting too much… I-I obviously didn’t though, did I?

(This post is not really a “review” as there is only one installation of the VN so far – I’ll do a full review post once the VN is fully completed. This post mostly comprises of my thoughts about the series so far.)

Harmonia – Quick Review & Thoughts

Needed a short read and since I’m a sucker to post-apocalyptic setting and such, I decided to give this newest “onion-cutting simulator” from Key a try. A brief and short post just like the VN itself because I’m a lazybum.

This is a story from a very, very distant era. The world has suffered from a great war. The contaminated atmosphere is turning ash gray, life on Earth almost came to a stop and water started vanishing. The world population has declined remarkably compared to the Golden Age. The people joined together to live in this world.

It was in these times that a “Phiroid”, a robot that can feel, woke up in a decayed facility. The fruit of science before the war: a humanoid, feeling robot. They were promised a new partner, one that could make their life easier. However, the awakened Phiroid finds out very quickly that he is emotionless. Perhaps he was not finished during the manufacturing process since his right hand is not covered with artificial skin, his mechanical parts visible. The Phiroid wanted to get closer to humans. He continued to wander through this devastated world, looking for the emotions he was missing. One day, a girl takes him in. She thinks of him as human and kindly looks after him. A little but warm town.

The Phiroid boy began learning what feelings are while living together with this girl. (summary taken from vndb)

Hana no No ni Saku Utakata no – Review & Thoughts

Taking a break from Kancolle, of course I must take this chance to clean my super long backlogs from all those overflowing VNs, as many of them as possible. And thus, I gave this game a try because, you know, curiosity. A good time-killer while waiting for SakuUta I guess.

And yeah, really shouldn’t expect anything from this that much after all. Also, this would be my first time playing Applique’s stuff.

Summary:

Michitaka is able to see the marks left by others. The paths they’ve followed and the objects they’ve touched are all tinged with colours that are unique to each individual. Even though it is useful at times, it is mostly a troublesome ability.

Before his second year, his father asked him if he wished to live by himself at the old-fashioned Ouka-sou, which was managed by his cousins. Since he had always wanted to live alone, he jumped at the chance. However, when he arrived with great excitement, he was welcomed by the silver-haired Ouka. He did not notice any colours emanating from her.

“I am what you call… a ghost.”

Together with his cousins, osananajimi and various senpai and kouhai from his school, the most unforgettable days have begun this spring. [Taken from Micchi’s blog]
